Bathed in the Uncreated Light

In the video which follows a Georgian Elder appears bathed in the Uncreated Light. Please pay particular attention to how the priest appears quite ordinary in the beginning, and approximately after 3:17, a transfiguration begins to take place. The event is captured by the videocamera but is not witnessed by his congregation. I would be really interested if anybody could offer us a translation in English of what the Elder is saying. Interestingly enough, I have come across two quite different translations so far.

I don’t believe what the priest said is as important as what the priest felt. Love and Joy are the highest vibrations and above that are the forces of nature… and the manifestation from the invisible to the visible. In order to manifest fortunately, one must be immerse in Love and Joy.
NDErs who report being in the Light report being surrounded by love.
I noticed the light output bounced up a little when the priest reached out to the small child as his happiness increased.
If you want to know more about the Light, work on pushing away your own layers of deceit and become a mystic. You will never experience these mysteries any other way.

As the Persian Sufi mystic said “The intellect will take you to the threshold but not into the house.”

    Blessings!

I… don’t like having to say this. Because i want to believe it. But I can’t allow myself to be taken in and fooled by possible camera and film tricks that are achieved either on the spot during filming with a “practical” effect. Or a post processing effect. Be it added in during film development or by a computer.
Like i said. I hate having to say it but i have to.
Looking at the pictures further down this page, i am seeing a couple pictures that look like film effects and mistaken sun rays.
This is why i have to speak up. Because I’ve been fooled by false miracles before, and it damaged my faith and others faith quite badly.
Therefore I have to say that if this phenomenon is real, then it will still stand up to hardcore scrutiny and scientific testing.
      My proposal:
Have these same ceremonies that produce this effect, done in a darkened room with zero windows and all the doors closed and locked with hi speed cameras and 4k 60fps cameras recording. So that if it does occur then it will be irrefutable. It will be a “smoking gun” so to speak, and it will be concrete proof of the phenominon. In conjunction with the cameras there would need to be an electromagnetic frequency scanner, infra red cameras, all of which should also be recording during the test, that way we have most of the bases covered as far as detecting a possible source. Maybe also a high speed camera or two to look for any possible slight of hand. So that the source of the phenomia can be seen just in case anyone does attempt any subterfuge.
I know what i have said and what i have proposed is not going to be a popular thing to say. I know there will be people saying that i am wrong for wanting to test it that way, and they will give various reasons as to why i am wrong. But as i stated previously: it will be smoking gun evidence that its real. And if that light is in fact divine light from GOD. Then i will have finally found the answer to a life long question: “is Christ real?” I know i cant be the only person in the world who wants to know.

I think the manifestation of the Uncreated Light is given to some people to edify their faith. I know that miracles and claims of miracles have been subjected to scientific scrutiny. This is often after the fact of the miracle. To set something up so that the Created Light can be “proven” to have manifested, I don’t think God would manifest in such conditions, unless He foresaw that doing was essential to someone’s salvation.

“Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.”

I am a lay Orthodox person who has been researching the topic of Theosis for about twenty years in order to gain some understanding and share it with other believers. From what I read the Divine Light, the light which shone from Christ at the Transfiguration (the Light of Tabor, the Uncreated Light) are God’s energies, God’s deifying grace that he shares with man in order that we may come to union with him according to his divine plan for eternity that he shall be all in all (Ephesians 1 9 For he has made known to us in all wisdom and insight the mystery of his will, according to his purpose which he set forth in Christ 10 as a plan for the fulness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.)
In the video, particularly at around 2:16 through 2:40 and elsewhere, the shadows of the priest’s hands and cross are falling onto his right forearm as they move. It appears that the priest is being illuminated by diffuse light shining from the upper left onto his beard, left shoulder hands and cross. In particular at around 4:30, 4:49 and 5:06, the upper right corner of the video appears to capture a beam of light, perhaps from a window, which seems to be the source of the illumination. The progressive increase in the brilliance of the light might be explained in part by the drifting away of a passing thin cloud. I have witnessed somewhat similar illumination of the icon of Christ in my home church which comes at certain times of the year.
This is not to say that the priest was not illuminated by the uncreated light, however, the uncreated light, being uncreated, would only register within the hearts of the people, not in the sensor of a video camera or other technical device.
    In Christ’s love…

Thank you for this beautiful video. Those who want to believe, believe. Those who refuse to believe, refuse to believe. It’s our choice.
